Air and Marine
The mission of CBP Air and Marine is to protect the American people and critical infrastructure by using an integrated and coordinated air and marine force to detect, interdict, and prevent acts of terrorism arising from unlawful movement of people, illegal drugs and other contraband moving toward or crossing the borders of the United States.
U.S. Border Patrol
The priority mission of the Border Patrol is preventing terrorists and terrorists' weapons, including weapons of mass destruction, from entering the United States.
Field Operations/Port Security
All legal visitors and returning Americans, as well as sanctioned cargo, enter the U.S. through one of 327 land, air or seaports. CBP's immigration inspections are the initial and most vital components of enforcing U.S. immigration laws and assuring border security.

Office of Technology Innovation and Acquisition
In 2005, the Department of Homeland Security established the Secure Border Initiative, a comprehensive, multi-year plan to help secure America's borders. The SBI program office within CBP was established to manage the development, deployment, and integration of SBI acquisition programs, and integrate and coordinate border security programs within CBP. Human Trafficking
In 2000, Congress passed the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act, representing the beginning of a large-scale, coordinated effort by the United States government to fight human trafficking.A decade later, human trafficking remains prevalent. (more)

Tactical Infrastructure/Border Fence
The Facilities Management and Engineering's Office of Border Patrol (OBP) Program Management Office provides Border Patrol with long-term planning, construction, and maintenance capabilities - including tactical infrastructure (TI) components such as roads, fencing, lights, electrical components, and drainage structures - to help the Border Patrol achieve its primary homeland security mission. Originally stood up under the Secure Border Initiative (SBI) in 2007, the OBP Program Management Office's most visible construction projects have been, but will not always be, the pedestrian and vehicle fence projects along the Southwest Border.
