General Services Administration is the Federal Government's landlord and purchasing arm. When the General Services Administration was created in 1949, no one could have contemplated the significant role information technology would play in the effective operation of government. The GSA is responsible for for providing workspace for federal agencies and one-stop shopping for products and services from paperclips to state-of-the-art telecommunications at bargain basement prices.
