U.S. Joint Forces Command

Headquartered in Norfolk, Va., U.S. Joint Forces Command is one of nine unified commands in the Department of Defense. Empire Challenge 10 Suffolk efforts kick off

Empire Challenge 2010, an annual intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance demonstration, kicks off at various locations in the U.S. and other countries, including USJFCOM's Suffolk, Va. campus where Joint Systems Integration Center personnel are assessing C2 systems interoperability with ISR systems while also supporting the demonstration's main efforts at Fort Huachuca, Ariz.

Staff assistance visit benefits USJFCOM, CJTF-HOA

A deployable training team from U.S. Joint Forces Command's Joint Training Directorate/Joint Warfighting Center recently returned from a staff assistance visit with Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa. The visit was a chance for both the team and the joint task force to assess training delivered by J7 prior to the JTF's deployment earlier this year.

USJFCOM’s annual Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration features interoperability trials focused on assessing developing technology solutions against C4ISR capability gaps as identified by combatant commanders, services, agencies and coalition partners. The two-week demonstration runs through June 26.

USJFCOM deployable training team works with CJTF-HOA to improve Unified Endeavor Mission Rehearsal Program

A deployable training team from U.S. Joint Forces Command's Joint Training Directorate/Joint Warfighting Center travelled to Djibouti working with the staff of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa to reinforce training the task force received prior to deployment. The site assistance visit represents the final phase of USJFCOM's Unified Endeavor Mission Rehearsal Program that trains staffs in Iraq, Afghanistan and Africa.
